Modern Floor Lamps

There are several types of floor lamp, the original with fabric shade, Uplighter, and modern floor lamp. They all have their specific function and use. The uplighter is a relative new design and is used to direct the majority of light towards the ceiling. This produces a softer mood light from the white surface and is generally more restful than direct lighting. The modern type of floor lamp encompasses multiple headed lamps and ones with shades in both fabric and glass. Their main advantage is that they are mobile and can be transported easily to improve lighting as required.
